Foam Rollers have become an essential element in the set of equipment required for complete functional training. Their use has been integrated with many other forms of functional fitness tools, allowing for a wider range of exercises and programmes for building core strength. When used in conjunction with any of these core conditioning tools e.g. Bosu, Swiss Ball, Dura Disc, the foam roller is an additional platform of instability, which forces the exerciser to draw upon their abdominal and surrounding muscles to remain stable while exercising.
Inspire also incorporates the foam roller to fill a range of exercises designed to enhance strength and flexibility. Many of these exercises can be replicated at home. They can used to help massage deeply into larger muscle groups, and mobilising the back and body.
It is used highly after any cycle sessions, and is promoted to be used while in training for the Inspire Wine, Adventure and Cycle Tours to Central Otago, New Zealand.
Benefits
The foam rollers are made from a medium density foam that is firm but soft to touch. The benefits are:
• Much less likely to dent or be scarred
• Usage indicates superior durability
• Sublte texture on suface for traction and to alleviate the impression that the suface is slippery when exercising
• Attractive rich blue colour
